Around this time of year, Williamsburg buzzes with activity that includes concerts and performances, market days, classes, tours, and events that celebrate history and the present.
Some of our favorite ways to celebrate include the fall festivals that take place throughout the month of October.
Earlier this month saw Yorktown Market Days and Fall Festival Celebration, which took place at Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown. The usual Yorktown Market Days season boasts fresh produce, delicious meat and seafood, yummy baked goods, flowers, art and entertainment. In the fall, they add an incredible festival to the mix that includes hayrides, a hay maze, face painting, cooking demonstrations, live bluegrass music, a fine selection of pumpkins and mums, children’s games and more!
The Oktoberfest at Busch Gardens celebrates Oktoberfest in the world’s most beautiful theme park! The day was filled with open rides, the arcade, one meal, three drinks, admission to the brand new Night Beats show, and new this year, a themed maze.
The Haunting on DOG Street takes place over the coming weeks and is not to be missed:
When: October 15-31
Where: Duke of Gloucester Street
Celebrate Halloween Duke of Gloucester Street-style with spooky ghost tours, museum talks, carriage rides and special events! Here are two events we highly recommend to get you started!

Jack of the Lanterns
