Three Fall Events

We think fall is the best time to get outside in Williamsburg, Virginia! The Historic Triangle always buzzes with fun fall activities, and here are just three that are coming up this Saturday, September 16:

Bier Fest

Time: Starting at 12 p.m.

Place: Busch Gardens Williamsburg

It’s true—the end of summer is upon us. But in Williamsburg, that’s just another reason to celebrate! At Busch Gardens Bier Fest, more than 200 years of German Oktoberfest traditions await, including traditional German food (think beer-battered bratwurst and homemade pretzels!), festive live music and over 100 craft beers from around the globe. The festival ends Sunday and is included with park admission, so don’t miss out on your last chance to experience Bier Fest! An expert tip: If you plan on riding any rollercoasters, just be sure to go BEFORE you feast!
Williamsburg Contemporary Artisans Festival

Time: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Place: Merchants Square on Duke of Gloucester Street
Williamsburg is known as a home to lots of incredible artists, and we pride ourselves on being a place where they can thrive! The Contemporary Artisans Festival is pairing up with the Williamsburg Plein Air Art Show this year on Duke of Gloucester Street in Downtown Williamsburg. Come to this day-long street festival where you don’t just see the finished products carefully made by local artists, but actually watch them create their art right before your eyes! This is a great place to snag some truly unique gifts to give out to your friends and family this holiday season.

Harvest Festival & Scarecrow Stuffing

Time: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Place: Chickahominy Riverfront Park

If you love an exclusive family photo opportunity, this annual event is an absolute must! Ditch screens for a day and immerse your kids in the joys of childhood for life-long happy memories: a petting zoo, pony rides, arts and crafts, delicious food, fun games, inflatable structures and more! Join in the scarecrow-stuffing event, and you’ll come home with the best scarecrow your neighborhood has ever seen! Participation in the scarecrow stuffing is on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Admission is just $5 per car and $20 per scarecrow – that’s a great deal!

Goodbye, summer, and hello, autumn! We can’t wait to experience all of the wonderful Williamsburg fall traditions with you and your family!
