Where: In front of Raleigh Tavern
Watch the Williamsburg community come to life in this incredible street theater experience. “Intersections” explores the daily lives of ordinary people during extraordinary times, taking into account diverse perspectives on political and societal elements of 18th-century life as people of the past gather near the Raleigh Tavern. Aaand—action!

Drummers Call
When: May 20-22
Where: Pick a program!
Imagine you are a young man, about to walk into yet another disheartening battle against the British. You feel your resolve weaken, but then you hear the trill of fifes and the thunder of drums. You march forward.

Drummers Call is a popular weekend-long musical demonstration that showcases 18th-century military music. Visiting corps from around the country will join Colonial Williamsburg’s Fifes and Drums for a weekend of performances throughout the Historic Area. Learn more about the fascinating topic of military field music and explore the important roles played by fifers and drummers!

Learn 18th-Century Skills First-Hand
When & Where: Pick a tour!
Think of all the skill sets needed to work in modern professions—and now think about how different those skills looked in the 18th century! This spring, meet Historic Area tradespeople and engage in in-depth, hands-on tours and demonstrations on hand-sewing, woodworking, coopering, drawing with a compass and rule, and much more.

Rare Breeds Program
When: Mondays and Thursdays through June
Where: Randolph Kitchen and Yard in Colonial Williamsburg
Learn about the Rare Breeds of livestock raised in 18th-century Virginia, including how to identify breeds of domesticated animals in the Historic Area, and why preserving these breeds is so important today. Plus, meet the sweetest baby lambs!
