Why Autumn in the Burg Doesn’t Fall Short of Great

With trees transforming into a beautiful array of colors and crisp autumn air filling the streets, fall is one of the most spectacular seasons in Williamsburg. Without even considering the countless events going on this season, people fall in love with Colonial Williamsburg over the foliage alone. Perfect Running Weather 

The weather is wonderful this time of year, which is nice whether you are a runner or not. If you’re someone who enjoys running, you’re in luck! Run clubs are a popular hobby in Williamsburg.

The Williamsburg Winery Run Club has a 5k run/walk/jog through the vineyards at Wessex Hundred. After getting active in the gorgeous autumn weather, enjoy food and drink specials at the winery! This run occurs every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. through November 8.

You can also join the Water Street Grille Run Club for their Family Fun Run/Walk 5k that meets every Wednesday @ 6:00 p.m.! Join the club for the run, and then stick around for the community with great food and craft beer sponsored by various breweries!

Live Beer Garden Concerts

Live this fall season to the fullest and eat, drink and be merry at the Live Beer Garden Concerts! Enjoy Friday Night Live concerts with FREE live music, food trucks and plenty of beer.

Friday Night Live schedule:

2-3 p.m.: Discounts on to-go fills; choose from 10+ draft beers!

4 p.m.: Friday Brewmaster’s Pin tapping—one-of-a-kind cask concoction tapped EVERY Friday!

6-9 p.m.: Friday Night Live concert with FREE live music in the beer garden!

12:30-8:30 p.m.: Local food trucks pairing bites + beers!

Williamsburg Farmers Market 

What better way to relish this time of year than to explore the fresh seasonal produce at the Williamsburg Farmers Market? They’re open weekly on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., rain or shine! Catch live music performances and chef demonstrations while you look through the local merchandise. This month is especially fun-filled, as families can enjoy Halloween costume contests, trick or treating and pumpkin decorating. There’s fun for the whole family at the Williamsburg Farmers Market!
