One of the hallmarks of summer is outdoor concerts—and the Historic Triangle is packed with free live music events this season for you and yours to enjoy! Get your groove on all summer long at any of this amazing Summer Concert Series:

Sounds of Summer Concert Series at the Riverwalk in Yorktown

Historic Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer concerts series runs Thursday nights at Riverwalk Landing from 7 to 9:30 p.m. through August 11 (with no concert on July 7). This is a perfect place to get on the dance floor and move to some amazing live tunes, fuel up with food truck delights or relax with a friendly game of cornhole!  Visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and small coolers. Proximity to the waterfront makes this an extra special experience.

Before the show starts, come early to enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants, including Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree Kitchens, Umi Sushi, Ben & Jerry’s, Yorktown Pub, and Larry’s. Water Street Grille will also be set up on the lawn at most shows serving convenient to-go meal and snack options.

Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots throughout town. The complimentary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley will run from 5 to 10 p.m.

Summer Breeze Concert Series 2022 on the Lawn of the Art Museum of Colonial Williamsburg

Next up: Colonial Williamsburg’s Summer Breeze concert series! These free concerts take place on the lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg every Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. through August 31. Gates open for guests at 5 p.m., and you can expect craft beer from local breweries and food vendors to be available each week. Coolers are also permitted, and so are your furry friends! This event is held rain or shine.

Summer Nights Concert Series at Busch Gardens

The Summer Nights Concert Series returns this summer to Busch Gardens! Heavy-hitting artists like the Fray and Ashanti will be lighting up the outdoor stage every Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Royal Palace Theatre.  Concerts are included with park admission.
