Spring is right around the corner, marking one of our favorite seasons in the Historic Triangle. After a winter reprieve, we’re ready to do all the warm-weather activities Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown have to offer! Here are three fun things that you can look forward to in the coming weeks.
The Williamsburg Farmers Market
What’s the best part of spring? Being able to shop for fresh local produce! The Williamsburg Farmers Market opens for the 2023 season on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 8 a.m. to noon! Grab your favorite reusable shopping back and head over to the second block of Duke of Gloucester Street. Over 40 vendors offer an incredible variety of unique local products, including fresh seasonal produce, meats, baked goods, honey, cheese, cut flowers, handmade soaps, and more. Vendors accept cash, credit cards, SNAP, and W&M Express.
Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens will unveil the park’s newest roller coaster this spring—DarKoaster. Besides this one-of-a-kind indoor thrill ride, you and your group can enjoy kid-friendly options for little ones, a visit with animals, park-wide seasonal events like the St. Patrick’s Day celebration, live music entertainment, restaurants, shopping, and more. And the best part is that you can buy a one, two, or three-day ticket to Busch Gardens AND Water Country USA for a big discount on Groupon! Simply pick your package, print or show the barcode on your phone for admission. Click here for packages.
Great Music
You can win tickets to Ain’t’ Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show. From March 17 to April 2, the show will run at the Williamsburg Players venue on Hubbard Lane in Williamsburg. Thomas “Fats” Waller is regarded as one of the greatest living jazz pianists and a gifted songwriter who captivates his audiences. Ain’t Misbehavin’ showcases the talents of seriously gifted performers—come for an evening of funny, rowdy, infectious songs set in the heyday of the Cotton Club and the Savoy Ballroom. Come for a night out on the town—you won’t be disappointed!
There are always new events happening in the ‘Burg, so keep checking back throughout the season to see all there is to do! Whether you come to Williamsburg solo, with friends, with your family, or with your partner, there is fun to be had and memories to be made. Make King’s Creek your home-away-from home for quick access to the amazing offerings in the Historic Triangle!
